Town Hall Art CollectionCollection d’Art d’la Salle Pârouaîssiale

The Parish of St Helier has an incredible collection of artwork on display in the Town Hall, which the Constable of St Helier, Simon Crowcroft describes as a “‘well kept secret”.

The art work has been collected over numerous decades and features paintings left to the Parish by relatives of former Constable of St Helier, Pierre Le Sueur, depictions of historical moments in the Island’s history, such as the Battle of Jersey and the Bombing of St Helier Harbour, gifts from the Parish’s Twin Towns and a collection of John Le Capelain prints of Queen Victoria’s visit to Jersey and the scenery of the Island.

The Parish’s artwork collection has recently undergone restoration work to ensure the collection is preserved to be enjoyed for generations to come.

The Constable of St Helier would like to remind parishioners that the Town Hall is open to those who wish would like to explore and enjoy the varied artwork on display.
