Storm Ciarán – General Update 1700 02/11/2023

The Parish teams have been working tirelessly during this recovery phase to reopen roads, clear debris and assess damage.

Whilst we are aware that there are a lot of trees down, we are prioritising clearing high ways and main access routes and are doing what we can with the resources that we have. It may be a couple of days until we reach your area so we please ask that you are patient with our team.

School closures

A decision has been made that schools are to remain closed through Friday 3 November. This includes Westmount Day Nursery.

Town Hall to reopen

The Town Hall will be open to the public as normal on Friday 3 November.

Refuse collections

Refuse collections will resume on Friday 3 November however do expect that there could be some disruption. If your bins should have been collected today please remember to put your bins out for collection on Saturday 4 November.

Advice to residents

Please inspect your private property and the immediate vicinity for any damage including loose roofing tiles. Where possible please make appropriate repairs to your property or do what you can to secure things until a professional is available.
