How can I vote?
Apply to postal vote in the 2026 Election:
Parishioners can apply now to postal vote in the 2026 election, which takes place on Sunday, 7th June 2026. Postal voting offers a convenient and flexible way to cast your vote.
Completed, signed application forms must be received by the Judicial Greffe no later than 12 noon on Thursday 30th April. Ballot papers will be sent out from mid-May 2026.

Pre-poll
If you are unable to attend a polling station on the day of the election, early voting (pre-Poll) is open to parishioners. St Helier electors can vote in person at the pre-poll voting station at St Paul’s Centre, Dumaresq Street, St Helier. The pre-poll station will be open from Tuesday 26th May to Friday 29th May, between the hours of 8.45 am and 5 pm and on Monday 1st June, between the hours of 8.45 am and 12 noon.
Voting on Election Day – Sunday 7th June 2026
Parishioners can vote at their designated polling station on the day of the election. Polling stations are open between the hours of 8 am and 8 pm. Please be advised that you can only vote at the polling station applicable to your address, as that is where you will be registered.
Who can I vote for?
St Helier parishioners can vote for three types of States Member:
Senator – vote for up to nine to represent the Island
Constable – vote for one candidate to represent the Parish of St Helier
Deputy – vote for the following, dependent on the constituency in which you live:
St Helier North: three candidates for Deputy
St Helier Central: four candidates for Deputy
St Helier South: three candidates for Deputy

Opt out of the Candidate’s List by 17th April
Parishioners are reminded that they are automatically included in the electoral register based on government records.
As part of this process, your name and address may be disclosed to election candidates.

- Exclude your name and address from the list shared with election candidates
- Update your registration if your name or address has recently changed
Alternatively, there is the paper form, which can be completed and returned to your Parish Hall. Paper copies are also available at Parish Halls.
