Parish of St Helier takes ownership of Allix Shipyard Garden

Following approval by the Parish Assembly in October 2025, the Parish of St Helier has today taken ownership of the Allix Shipyard Garden for the nominal sum of £1.
The site, located at Havre des Pas, has been transferred from the Vingtaine de la Ville.
From Monday, the area will be cordoned off for approximately eight weeks while essential repair works are carried out.
Constable of St Helier, Simon Crowcroft, said:
“I am delighted that the Parish is now able to take ownership of the Allix Shipyard Garden, and I look forward to seeing the area restored to its former glory in time for the summer.”
The Vingtaine de la Ville is both one of the historic subdivisions of the Parish of St Helier and a unique community institution dating back to the 17th century, with its own legal identity and a long tradition of investing communal assets and funds to enhance, commemorate, and support the life, heritage, and public spaces of St Helier town.
