The 2026 Corn Riots Festival will take place on Saturday 19 September and Sunday 20 September in the Royal Square. Free for all to attend, this annual community event celebrates Jersey’s heritage, traditional Jèrriais language, and history with live performances, food stalls, and historical re-enactments.

The Corn Riots Festival marks the anniversary of the major legislative reform when, in 1769, 500 Islanders stormed the Royal Court in protest against the price of wheat.
