Storm Ciarán – Parish Update 1345 31/10/2023

As we continue to prepare for the arrival of Storm Ciarán, the Parish of St Helier can issue the following update.

Islanders are advised to stay at home on Thursday 2nd November by the Government of Jersey.

All States of Jersey Schools in St Helier will be closed on Thursday 2nd November.

Westmount Day Nursery will also be closed on Thursday 2nd November. A decision to reopen on Friday 3rd November will be taken in due course.

A decision will be made and announced about St Helier refuse collections due on 2nd November including any rescheduled collections by 1130 on Wednesday 1st November.

The Parish is awaiting formal advice from Government for businesses within the Town Centre and will of course update the business community in due course.
