Changing Places

Changing Places toilets are different from standard disabled toilets, with extra features and more space to meet the needs of all people with a disability- or their carers.
St Helier Changing Places provides:
The right equipment
- a heigh adjustable adult-sized changing bench
- a tracking hoist system
Enough space
- adequate space in the changing area for the disabled person and up to two carers
- a centrally placed toilet with room either side for carers
- a screen or curtain to allow the disbaled person and carer some privacy
A safe and clean environment
- disinfected wipes are provided in the dispenser
- a large waste bin for disposable pads
- a non-slip tiled floor
The St Helier Changing Places toilet is next door to the Town Hall in Seale Street.

Family Room

The Town Hall is delighted to be a registered breastfeeding facilitity as part of the Government of Jersey’s ‘Jersey Breastfeeds Initiative’.
The Family Room is nestled on the Ground Floor of the Town Hall, making it easily accessible with a pram.
The room is a quiet and welcoming space for breastfeeding, changing, or for a moment’s peace from the hustle and bustle of Town.
The space has wipes, nappies, breastfeeding pillows, and children’s toys and books.
