Parish Rates Annual Returns

The Parish Rates Annual Returns will be issued to all landowners in the Parish on 9th January. The deadline for returns is 24th January 2026. If you do not receive yours, please get in touch.
To help you complete your return, here is some guidance based on frequently asked questions. You can download the full notes from https://sthelier.je/about-rates/.
• Section A
Please add your full contact details, including telephone numbers and email address, so we can contact you quickly and easily if we have a query.
• Section B – Occupier’s details
Please note you are required to provide full details of all occupiers where the information differs from that of the owner. If complete details of the occupier(s) as at 1 January — including title, full name, and address — are not supplied, the owner may be held liable for the occupier rates.
• Section C
Please provide full details of any changes to the land or property that have been made during the previous year. If you are new to the property and unsure if there have been any changes, please indicate this by ticking the relevant box.
• Section D – Domestic property
If any of the attributes are incorrect or inaccurate, please amend the details and initial the change. Please note that rooms should be declared based on their original or intended purpose, rather than their current use. For example, a single bedroom that is being used as a study should still be declared as a single bedroom, not as an ‘other room’.” Guidance on completing your annual return can be found on our website https://sthelier.je/about-rates/
