Volunteers needed for St Ewold’s Residential Home
St Ewold’s Residential Home, located on the outskirts of St Helier and providing a high-quality professional service to its residents, is passionate about making the residents’ time there enjoyable and is looking to re-open the little shop located at the Home’s entrance. This shop offers items such as shower gels, pens, cards, sweets and magazines, and is often a place for residents to gather for a chat and to meet a friendly face.
We are seeking volunteers to run the shop: this will include purchasing the stock and being responsible for ensuring there is cash and ample items for sale. It’s hoped the shop can be open a minimum of twice a week, and that the volunteer in charge will become a familiar face at St Ewold’s.
We are also interested in hearing from volunteers keen to give up a little of their time each week to read the JEP or a book to some of the residents – maybe you enjoy playing cards or are an ace at Dominoes! Please email the Community Services Team at [email protected], or telephone Jacqui at 811854 or Bronia at 811856 – we look forward to hearing from you.
