Tea, treats and a little time together for the Poppy Appeal

An afternoon of tea, light entertainment and community spirit awaits at St Helier Town Hall, raising funds for the Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal.
The Parish of St Helier invites parishioners to its annual Poppy Appeal Afternoon Tea on Thursday 5 November 2026, from 2.30pm to 4.30pm, in the Town Hall’s Assembly Room.
St Helier’s Connétable, Inna Gardiner, commented: “There’s something lovely about bringing people together over a cup of tea, especially when it supports such an important cause.
“Our annual afternoon tea is a chance to catch up with familiar faces, meet new neighbours and support the Poppy Appeal as we approach Remembrance Day.
“I hope parishioners will come along, bring a friend and enjoy the afternoon with us.”
Entry is free and tickets are available on a first come, first served basis and can be collected from our friendly Customer Services team in the Town Hall.
There will also be a raffle, with all proceeds going directly to the Poppy Appeal.
