St Helier scores Gold with the RHS
The Parish of St Helier is delighted to announce that we have been awarded Gold at the final of this year’s Royal Horticultural Society Britain in Bloom Competition.
The judges, who visited in August, described their tour of the Parish which included the GROW Community Small Holding Project, the Parish’s Recycling Team, the town centre, parks, and more, as extremely professional and covered all elements of the judging criteria.
Constable of St Helier, Simon Crowcroft, said: “I’m delighted that once again the Parish has been awarded a Gold certificate by the Royal Horticultural Society and I have no doubt this is down to the tireless works of our Municipal Services Team and the army of volunteers and community groups that help maintain the gold standard in the Parish. To them all, I say thank you.”
Notes:
The Parish of St Helier was entered into the ‘coastal town’ category of the Competition.
The other entrants in this category were: North Berwick in Bloom, Sandown Green Town Volunteers and Sidmouth in Bloom.
North Berwick in Bloom was the overall winner of the category.
