Parish Occupation VIPs take part in Genuine Jersey potato growing competition

Last week, tensions were high in the Old Magistrate’s Court as the results of the Parish of St Helier’s Occupation VIP’s potato growing efforts were unveiled.

The annual potato competition, organised by Genuine Jersey, challenges Islanders to grow the heaviest crop and the greatest number of Jersey Royals.

This year’s Parish winners were Nigel Blake for weight and Clare Pallett for the number of potatoes.

A big well done to everyone who took part, and we hope you enjoyed your delicious Jersey Royals!
