A look back at the Parish’s events in 2024
As 2025 is fast approaching, let’s take a look back at this year’s events!
In January, the annual commemorations for the Battle of Jersey were held in the Royal Square.
In April, the Tea Dances returned to the Town Hall providing the opportunity for locals and visitors to glide their way across the Assembly Room floor.
The Jersey Tourist Guides Association’s Town walks, supported by the Parish, also returned in April, with more walkers than ever joining the tours throughout the Summer.
May saw the Island celebrate Liberation Day with the Parish hosting its annual Liberation Breakfast and Afternoon Tea events.
July pushed the events team to capacity supporting the visit of King Charles III and Queen Camilla and delivering the Havre des Pas Seaside Festival, Fete de St Helier and the pilgrimage.
September saw the arrival of some new events to St Helier including the Jersey Tattoo Convention, Weekender Jersey and It’s a Knockout.
In November the Parish held a number of events for Remembrance including the Launch of the Roll of Honour, the Poppy Appeal Afternoon Tea and the Remembrance Sunday service.
The Christmas Light Switch On also returned in November in a completely new venue in Parade Gardens.
Finally, in December, the Town Hall welcomed nearly 400 senior Parishioners to enjoy a free Christmas lunch over 3 Sundays.
A big thank you to everyone who has attended any events throughout the year and we hope to welcome you to many more in 2025.
