Liberation Day Events – Tickets now available
Liberation Day Service and Re-enactment
A service and re-enactment to mark the 79th anniversary of the Liberation of Jersey will be held in Liberation Square, St Helier, at 9.45am on Thursday 9 May 2024.
Free reserved seating (which must be occupied by no later than 9.30am) is available and will be allocated by the Parishes to Parish Senior Citizens (those who resident in Jersey during the Occupation, those evacuated, deported or those serving in the forces at that time) and their immediate and extended families. These tickets can accommodate wheelchairs.
Applications should be made to your Parish Hall by no later than Friday 19 April 2024 so that tickets may be allocated. If you would like to apply for tickets please call 01534 811823 or email [email protected] with your name, address and number of tickets required.
Islanders who do not fall into the above category and who wish to attend this event will be able to apply via the Eventbrite ticket site. For members of the public who cannot access Eventbrite tickets can be requested from the Bailiff’s Chambers, Royal Court House, Royal Square. These tickets will be available from Monday 1 April 2024, further information will be provided in due course.
Liberation Day Breakfast
We are delighted to once again invite Islanders who were in Jersey during the Occupation, serving overseas, internees and evacuees to join us for breakfast in the Town Hall on Thursday 9 May for a breakfast buffet.
The event will take place from 07:30 in the Town Hall.
